Nate Sanders is a famed cocktail ninja who first gained renown during the 16th century Sengoku period, when he was known as flying Nate (飛びネート）.
According to historical documents, the daimyo Uesugi Kenshin had heard of Nate’s reputation, which had led him to invite Nate to his prime castle. Nate claimed to him that his cocktail jutsu abilities had known no bounds and that he could accomplish anything with his powers. Hearing this, Kenshin decided to test Nate’s abilities by challenging him to create five cocktails, each displaying the core elements of earth, fire, wind, water, and love. When Nate was finished, the daimyo was so amazed at the deliciousness of the cocktails, that he was instantly struck blind.
